Here is all you need to know about Camels in Minecraft.

Camels are an upcoming mob in Minecraft, to be added in version 1.20, the archeology update. Camels will be the only mob that can be ridden by two players at once in the game. They are passive mobs so they will not attack you, they will simply flee from you. You can also put a saddle on a camel and use a lead to guide it wherever you want to go. Here is everything we know about camels in Minecraft.

Where will camels spawn in Minecraft

A camel will spawn in every desert village when the game is generating a world generation. They will not respawn if killed.

How to tame and breed a camel in Minecraft

Camels wander around and generally avoid obstacles. They will also randomly sit for two to seven seconds before getting up. A sitting camel cannot be moved by the player. A sitting camel will stand up even if there is a solid block above it but it will take suffocation damage. Camels will also have the unique ability to climb 1.5 block-high walls without jumping.

Camels can be ridden if you place saddles on them. You can place a saddle on a camel by accessing its inventory. Up to two players can ride a camel at once and it can go into waters up to three blocks deep. However, past that it will sink into the water and eventually drown.

You can breed a camel by first luring it, holding a cactus for up to 10 blocks. However, note that a sitting camel will not follow a player. You can breed two adult camels by giving them cacti. It will trigger a hearts animation which means they are ready to mate. The parents have a cooldown of five minutes before they can breed again.

You can get camels to breed in Minecraft using cacti.

Despite cacti being used to breed camels and heal camels for 1 heart, they will take damage if they run into one.
