Convergence: A League of Legends Story - Release Date, System Requirements & More
Riot Forge, a publishing label within Riot Games, which works with outside developers and third-party studios is busy creating engaging standalone games set in the League of Legends universe of Runeterra. At the start of the year, Riot Forge gave a sneak peek of what’s in store for 2023 to the player base and revealed three new games that are coming to both PC and console this year. Convergence: A League of Legends Story (styled as CONV/RGENCE), is one of the three games that is set to release in 2023. Notably, the Mageseeker featuring Sylas just released on 18th April.
Here’s all you need to know about Convergence: A League of Legends story, its release date, and the system requirements needed to run the game.
What is Convergence: A League of Legends Story?
Convergence: A League of Legends story is a single-player 2D action platformer that will allow players to take “control of the clock.” It features Ekko, the boy who shattered time, as the main character. Many of you might recognize Ekko from the hit TV series Arcane and he’s no stranger to the lot of you who play League of Legends. Riot Forge announced in February 2023 that Convergence will be made available in Summer 2023 and is keeping its word.
In this game, you play as a young Ekko and you realize the full potential of this champion from League of Legends. “Discover different environments with parkour-style traversal while you level up a variety of combat and time abilities to defeat a wide range of enemies in Zaun,” reads Convergence’s description.
In Convergence, you traverse the sprawling city of Zaun as Ekko who is a young inventor with a device that rewinds time. “He and his friends must work together to keep their city safe, but as danger looms and secrets come to light, Ekko realizes he can’t trust anyone—not even himself,” adds the game.
This 2D action platformer is developed by Double Stallion, the same label that made Speed Brawl and Big Action Mega Fight.
