Call of Duty, over the years, has collaborated with big brands and names including crossovers with King Kong, Godzilla, Snoop Dogg, Attack on Titan, Rambo, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Operator Bundles. Added to this list recently is Phoenix Suns player and basketball star Kevin Durant, who received his own Operator Bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) and Warzone 2.0 as part of Season 03 Reloaded.
Players can pick up the Kevin Durant Operator Bundle where you get an exclusive skin along with voice lines from Durant himself in addition to other basketball-themed designs added to the mix.
Kevin Durant Joins the Fray in MW2 & Warzone 2.0
Kevin Durant’s official Operator was introduced in Call of Duty via the Season 03 Reloaded update. The blog recognized his achievements and quoted him: “I like the challenge of trying to be in the moment. It’s not easy. We’re all built to want to look back or speed life up. But I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the future. It takes you away from the moment you’re in.” — Kevin Durant, 2015
It added that Kevin Durant “will be immortalized in the 20-year Call of Duty franchise’s history as an official Operator.” As a top athlete who defined his own franchise in real life, Kevin Durant is available in a special, limited-time Store Bundle that released alongside Season 03 Reloaded. The bundle became available on 12th May.
In addition to the Kevin Durant Operator, the bundle includes two weapon blueprints, including the “Reap This” Assault Rifle Blueprint and the “Easy Money” Sniper Blueprint. Here’s everything that’s featured in the bundle:
Kevin Durant's Operator skin - KD Grim
‘Reap This’ Assault Rifle blueprint
‘Easy Money’ Sniper blueprint
‘Deadly from Downtown’ Finishing Move
‘B-Ball’ Weapon Charm
‘Ankle-Breaker’ Loading Screen
‘Hoops’ Sticker
‘KD Baller’ Animated Emblem
The Kevin Durant bundle in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 costs 2,400 CoD Points. Notably, last time around the Neymar and Pogba bundles were also priced in the same range (roughly $20 USD).
Apart from this basketball star, for the first time ever, Activision partnered up with gamers and streamers for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Operator bundles. Prominent figures in the Call of Duty community Nicholas “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff and Timothy John Betar aka TimTheTatman officially unveiled their bundles this month.
The TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS Operators will go live in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 on 31st May.
