Bind is one of the first maps that has been available in Valorant since its closed beta.
Here’s everything you need to know about Bind Valorant map including callouts, best agents, and more.

Riot Games’ free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter Valorant was first teased under the codename Project A in 2019. The game began a closed beta with limited access in April 2020 and was officially released on 2nd June 2020 for players across the globe. Bind is a map in Valorant and notably, one of the first available maps since the closed beta. However, the map is currently unavailable in the map rotation presently.

The official description of Bind reads, “Two sites. No middle. Gotta pick left or right. What’s it going to be then? Both offer direct paths for attackers and a pair of one-way teleporters make it easier to flank.

Here’s everything you need to know about Bind Valorant map.

Where is Bind Valorant Map Located?

According to Riot Games and the official Valorant lore, Bind is located in Morocco's capital city of Rabat. Interestingly, Rabat is also Cypher’s hometown. The lore-accurate location of Bind is Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Morocco on the Alpha Earth. The actual co-ordinates are 34°2'A" N 6°51'Z" W (34°2'0" N 6°51'0" W). As per the story of Valorant, Kingdom Corporation seeks to expand further into the city and it already has a radianite refinery there. Now, Kingdom is looking to do more by dismantling any cultural property in the way of their latest projects. “However, fully aware at this point of the lies behind the promises with the corporation's initial arrival, locals hold strong opposition to any more Kingdom activity in their home,” says the lore.

How to Play Bind Valorant?

Bind is a very unique map because it does not have a “mid” section, unlike other maps. Instead, it has two teleporters that work one way. The teleporters are located outside both sites. One takes players from A Short to B Short and the other takes players from B Long to A Lobby. Once inside the teleporter, players can walk out and the door will open only when the player inside walks up to it. This door is closed by default. While players outside the exit room cannot open these teleporter doors, they can still wall bang them to do damage. Note that whenever a teleporter is used by a player or an object, all players on the map will be given an audio cue.

Apart from this unique feature, the map has numerous corners and boxes. Given the heaven set up in A site and B-long space, players have plenty of sniping opportunities.

Notably, the map has undergone several changes which will be reflected upon its return to the map rotation.

You can read about all the Bind map-related changes in this article where you can see before and after images of all the updates that Riot Games has done.

Valorant Bind Removed: When is Bind Returning?

Riot Games developers for Valorant implemented a 7-map policy in the past for Unrated and Competitive game modes. In December 2022, the maps team posted an update about the map pool rotation that coincided with Patch 6.0 in January. Following that update, Breeze and Bind were removed from the map pool and were only accessible in Spike Rush, custom games, and other game modes.

Riot Games felt that there was room for changes on Bind and talked about strategic diversity. The developers wanted to open up more playing ground around teleporters and rethink executions on both sites.

Now, a few months after Episode 6 Act 1, Bind is all set to return to Valorant on 25th April along with Patch 6.08. The community is elated to test the revamped map. There are a bunch of changes that have been made to both sites, which will force teams to come up with new strategies and adjust their playstyles.

Best Bind Agents and Team Comps

Players should note that Bind is defender-sided and should pick agents keeping that in mind. It is important to choose agents with smokes in their kit and also pick agents like Killjoy or even the nerfed Chamber for controlling pockets of areas, like entrances, to delay the planting of the spike. Some of the agents that work really well on Bind are as follows:

Killjoy: Killjoy’s ultimate and her turrets help her team to hold a site and allow her team to rotate quickly when enemies enter the site. She can single-handedly hold B-site on defense and also use her setups (Alarmbot and Nanoswarms) wisely to help play post-plant situations while on the attack.

Brimstone: While Brimstone is fairly easy to play, he also comes in handy, thanks to his smokes and post-plant utility.

Omen: Despite getting nerfed, Omen can pull off some crazy plays using his Q ability by faking the teleporter. Given that the map also has a lot of boxes and corners, Omen can use his ultimate to his advantage and pick off players who are flanking.

Apart from these agents, you can also run a duelist like Raze or Reyna. Raze works really well in Bind because of the narrow entryways that allow her to get quick kills with her grenade and ultimate. You can also pick Astra and Sage for support. While Astra’s stars are useful to provide smokes and also help during post-plant, Sage or Skye can help when it comes to protecting the team.

(Note that the agents mentioned above are highly subjective and each player might have a different team composition or agent pick that works really well for them.)
