Apex Legends doesn't need a high end PC to run on low graphics.
There are several settings you can tweak to optimize your FPS.

Apex Legends has gained significant popularity since it’s release in February 2019. Compared to other games in the battle royale genre, Apex Legends doesn’t need heavy duty PC requirements to run. You can get a relatively smooth FPS with low RAM and lower end graphics cards. However, for the best possible Apex Legends PC experience, you’ll need to invest in some good hardware for that crisp 60 frames per second gameplay.

Apex Legends system requirements (Minimum)

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz / AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor

  • RAM: 6GB

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 / Radeon HD 7730

  • GPU RAM: 1 GB

  • Hard Drive: Minimum 22 GB of free space

For players running the game on lower end PCs, you can optimze the in-game settings to make your Apex Legends experience even smoother. Here are some of the settings you can experiment with to reduce the load on your system.

  • Adaptive Resolution FPS Target: 0 (off)

  • Adaptive Supersampling: Disabled

  • Anti-aliasing: None / TSAA

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9

  • Ambient Occlusion: Disabled / Low

  • Display Mode: Full screen

  • Dynamic Spot Shadows: Disabled

  • Effects Detail: Low

  • FOV: 100

  • Impact Marks: Disabled

  • Model Detail: Low

  • Ragdoll: Low

  • Spot Shadow Detail: Disabled

  • Sun Shadow Coverage: Low

  • Sun Shadow Detail: Low

  • Texture Filtering: Bilinear

  • Texture streaming budget: None

  • V-Sync: Off

  • Volumetric Lighting: Disabled

Players can experiment with these settings to see what works best for them in the Firing Range. While maximizing your FPS is crucial, some players may prefer higher field of view settings or perhaps if your monitor suffers from screen tears, turning V-Sync to adaptive will improve your performance.

Apex Legends System Requirements (Recommended)

While players with the minimum specifications will be able to play Apex Legends just fine, to get the best experience, here is what Respawn recommends you run:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7

  • CPU: Intel i5 3570K or equivalent

  • RAM: 8GB

  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon R9 290

  • GPU RAM: 8GB

  • Hard Drive: Minimum 22 GB of free space
