There are more changes in Execration's Dota 2 roster. As per Valve's Majors Registration Page, the team's midlaner, Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña, who last played an official game in July 2021, has now departed from the squad. Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina has served as the midlaner for Execration for the last two months, but he has not yet been officially added to the squad. Further, this roster change involving Yowe was widely speculated because of his extended absence from Execration, however, currently, the organization has not officially announced it.
Yowe is no longer a member of Execration's Dota 2 roster
Valve’s Majors Registration page shows two players registered on Execration's roster after Yowe's departure from the team.
Don Carlo "BDz" Manalo
Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano
Yowe joined Execration in November 2020. The team failed to make an impact during the first season of Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021, finishing sixth. He used to play as a carry then. After a few roster changes coupled with Yowe shifting to the midlane, the team took third place in the second DPC season and qualified for its first Dota 2 Major. Despite a sincere and thorough effort, the team failed to advance past the stacked wild card stage at the WePlay AniMajor.
Execration then later went on to finish fourth in the International 10 (TI10) Southeast Asia (SEA) qualifier and failed to qualify for the biggest Dota 2 event of the year.
Following the qualifiers, Yowe played a few events for Execration but then went inactive.
Currently, Execration lacks a midlaner, a carry, and an offlaner. However, Bob and Ryan "Bimbo" Jay Qui (also known as "Raging Potato"), a veteran within the Philippines Dota 2 scene, have played for the team in recent events as the midlaner and the offlaner respectively. Execration’s carry, Jinn Marrey "Palos" Lamatao parted ways with the team a week ago, and since then, Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo has been filling in for him.
Execration is currently competing in the BTS Pro Series S8: SEA and the OB.Moon Asian Arena. As we approach the next DPC season or after TI10 concludes, Execration will likely decide whether to continue with these stand-in players or recruit new ones. Additionally, there are a number of free agents in the region currently as SEA is undergoing a lot of roster moves and more are likely to follow after TI.
