BOOM Esports signs Filipino midlaner, Yopaj

In a video message posted by BOOM Esports, Yopaj revealed, “I am now officially the midlaner of BOOM Esports and I am very excited to play with our new organization. I hope you guys will support us and we assure you that we will give our best shots in our future games. Stay hungry, hungry beast,

Boom Esports' Dota 2 roster lists three players on the active roster at the time of writing this article.

  • Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer

  • Saieful "Fbz" Ilham

  • Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong

BOOM Esports announced skem's addition a day earlier, but it did not disclose his role in the team.

As for Yopaj, he left the Filipino organization a week ago after establishing himself as a mainstay for two years. Within the SEA scene, he won a number of events and tournaments during his two years with the squad. The best result for OB.Neon was their 5th-6th place finish at the Singapore Major 2021, where Yopaj was lauded for his top-notch midlane performances.

Yopaj's stint with OB.Neon came to an end after almost 1300 games

As Yopaj occupies the midlane for BOOM Esports now, Mikoto will no longer play for the organization. The organization’s CEO stated that Mikoto is now listed for transfer and will play as a stand-in for OB.Neon in the Moon OB.Moon Asian Arena Season 1 and with a new stack (named ‘TOLONG HAMBA’) in the BTS Pro Series S8: Open Qualifiers.

Before Mikoto, Randy Muhammad "Dreamocel" Sapoetra, Brizio Adi "Hyde" Putra, and Alfi "Khezcute" Nelphyana, who all played with BOOM Esports for a significant time had parted ways. In this ongoing revamp of BOOM Esports, which involves the organization's expanding into an international lineup, Fbz appears to continue to be a part of the team.

However, there are still two players to announce, so things could still go in an unpredictable direction. BOOM Esports has been invited directly to the BTS Pro Series S8: SEA, which will begin on 7th Sept, 2021. It will compete in the OB.Moon Asian Arena Season 1, which also begins on 6th September.
