BTS Pro Series Season 8 Announced for the SEA and Americas

Beyond the Summit (BTS) has announced the eighth season of the Pro Series for Southeast Asia (SEA) and the Americas region.
This event in both regions will run from 7th to 26th Sept 2021, and feature a total prize pool of $100,000 USD - $60,000 for SEA and $40,000 for the Americas.
Eight teams will have been directly invited from both regions while two will make their way via the open qualifiers.

Beyond the Summit (BTS) has announced the eighth season of the Pro Series for Southeast Asia (SEA) and the Americas region. This event in both regions will run from 7th to 26th Sept 2021, and feature a total prize pool of $100,000 USD - $60,000 for SEA and $40,000 for the Americas. Eight teams will have been directly invited from both regions. Two teams will go through the open qualifiers which are scheduled for 4th and 5th Sept 2021 in both SEA and Americas to qualify for the main tournament of the BTS Pro Series Season 8.

BTS Pro Series S8 to provide Dota 2 action ahead of TI10

With few events leading up to The International 10 (TI10), scheduled for 7th-17th Oct, 2021, BTS Pro Series S8 will cater to teams in SEA and Americas, as well as their fans.

BTS Pro Series S8: SEA

These are the eight teams that have been invited directly to the BTS Pro Series S8: SEA:

  1. Team SMG

  2. OB.Neon

  3. Motivate.Trust Gaming

  4. Galaxy Racer

  5. Execration

  6. BOOM Esports

  7. Army Geniuses

  8. Polaris Esports

Several of these eight teams, including OB.Neon and BOOM Esports, are still finalizing their Dota 2 rosters. As we approach the start of the tournament, it will become clearer which players are a part of these teams.

In addition, two teams from the open qualifier will join these teams to make the final 10.

Galaxy Racer are the defending champions who defeated Fnatic 3-2 in the grand finals of the BTS Pro Series S7.

BTS Pro Series S8: Americas

These are the eight teams that have been invited directly to the BTS Pro Series S8: Americas:

  1. 4 Zoomers

  2. NoPing e-sports

  3. Team Team

  4. Infamous.UESPORTS

  5. simply TOOBASED

  6. Hokori

  7. D2 Hustlers

  8. Furia Jovem

Furthermore, two more teams from the open qualifier will be added to complete the 10 teams competing in this event. North America (NA) and South America (SA) will have a separate open qualifier.

Team Undying, who will not be participating this time, are the defending champions after defeating NoPing e-sports 3-2 in the grand finals of the BTS Pro Series S7. Similar to Galaxy Racer, Team Undying also registered a reverse sweep in this grand final.

Information on the format, the match schedule, and talent of the BTS Pro Series S8: SEA and Americas are likely to be released in the coming days.

Neither of these events will be attended by any of the teams competing in The International 10. The majority of them are already in Romania preparing for the biggest Dota 2 event for the year.
