During a recent Team Spirit vlog titled “TEAM SPIRIT: BB DACHA 2024. VLOG 3,” Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov revealed that Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchukhad asked him not to beat Wang "Ame" Chunyu too hard in the lane when Team Spirit faced Xtreme Gaming in a best of 2 series.
The series eventually ended in a draw but Collapse gave some further interesting insights. Team Spirit’s Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk has been known to be a big fan of Xtreme Gaming’s Wang "Ame" Chunyu.
Recently, there has been way too many wholesome interactions between Ame and Yatoro, which has caught the attention of the Dota 2 community.
Collapse Reveals Yatoro Asked Him to Go Easy on Ame
In the third episode of Team Spirit’s BetBoom Dahca 2024 Dubai vlog, Collapse was interviewed by Vyacheslav "Art1st" Lyadnov about what he felt about the series against Xtreme Gaming. Collapse revealed that Yatoro asked him to go easy against Ame in the lane considering Yatoro idolizes Ame. Collapse also enacted how Yatoro might react during the series and said, “Yatoro will cry when killing Ame. He will say, 'I don't want to kill my idol.' He said, 'Don't beat him too hard at LAN, please, he's still my idol.'"
Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming went toe to toe against each other resulting in a 1-1 series draw at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai group stages on day 2. The first game was won by Team Spirit after which Xtreme Gaming retaliated in the next game and won swiftly.
Interestingly, Collapse shared a story from TI10 (The International 2021) which was the first big tournament for the current roster of Team Spirit. Collapse revealed that Yatoro idolized Chinese carries, and after the former beat the Chinese carries in lane, he would ask Yatoro sarcastically, “Is this your idol?”
Collapse also criticized Ame’s gameplay in the first game against BetBoom Team. He noted how the lane was made easier for BetBoom’s Primal Beast due to the lane equilibrium mess-up from Ame.
Collapse explained, “It may be a small thing but it affected the lane a lot. When the very first creeps met, he aggroed two creeps on Anti Mage. Any other player would aggroed them on a ranged creep, to deny it. But he pulled them off and started hitting them and as a result, the range creep survived. Two creeps from the first wave also survive and the second wave comes so Primal Beast has half of the first wave and the second wave and two range creeps in the end, their lane was near the offlane tower Primal Beast was able to farm."
Collapse added that he felt like the lane should have been harder for Primal Beast but it seemed like BetBoom Team won it because of Ame's mistake in lane.
