The roster shuffle season has finally started to provide more activity in roster announcements as Chinese-based organization Xtreme Gaming has revealed its new roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. Xtreme Gaming had a decent competitive season since its inception in 2021, as the team gained promotion into the first division of the Chinese DPC league for the 2021/2022 season.

The team managed to achieve top three finishes in the regional league throughout the season, with many believing that the team could become a potential dark horse for The International 2022 (TI11). However, the team failed to qualify for TI11 as it only achieved a top six finish at the Last Chance Qualifiers.

Xtreme Gaming’s lineup for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit season has been confirmed as follows:-

  1. Daniel "Ghost" Chan

  2. Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun

  3. Jun Wen "JT-" Thiay

  4. Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan

  5. Ding “Dy” Cong

  6. Zhou "bLink" Yang (head coach)

Following its recent competitive season, Xtreme Gaming had undergone roster changes during the off-season where it parted ways with Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei & Lou "lou" Zhen, with the latter being transferred back to the organization’s sister team, Ybb Gaming.

Malaysian carry player Ghost joins the team after his recent stint with Royal Never Give Up (RNG), as he helped RNG win the the third tour of the DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I and helped them to qualify for the Arlington Major. While he managed to qualify for TI11 with RNG, the team’s COVID-19 situation during the group stage affected their performance on the main stage as it lost a heartbreaking best of one match against Entity in the Lower Bracket.

On the other side, Malaysian offlaner JT- completes the lineup following his recent stint with Invictus Gaming (IG). JT- had a good competitive season in 2021, as he won the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 and achieved a top four finish at The International 2021 (TI11). However the following year saw a major drop in IG’s performance, as the team were relegated to the second division of the Chinese DPC league at the start of the season. While the team did manage to regain its form as the season progressed, the team barely missed out on a spot at the Last Chance Qualifiers as it finished 4th place in the regional qualifiers.

Following the announcement, Xtreme Gaming’s business in the roster shuffle season has officially concluded. However, with the deadline for roster locks slowly approaching it is expected that many teams will announce their rosters for the upcoming season.
