Xtreme Gaming announced that it has released Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei & Lou "lou" Zhen as it looks to rebuild for the upcoming season.
Xtreme Gaming performed above expectation during the 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit season as it achieved back-to-back top three finishes in the Chinese regional league.
However, despite its regional performances the organization was unable to qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) through the Last Chance Qualifiers.

The roster shuffle season has started to pick up traction in the Chinese region as Xtreme Gaming announced that it released both Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei & Lou "lou" Zhen after a subpar competitive season. Many expected that Xtreme Gaming would compete with the likes of PSG.LGD & RNG during the 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season as the organization managed to achieve back-to-back top three finishes in the regional league.

However, despite its amazing regional performance the team was unable to qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) as the team only managed to achieve a 5th-6th finish in the Last Chance Qualifiers.

Old eLeVen released into free agency, lou returns to his former team.

“With respect to our wishes and after much friendly communication, old eLeVeN (Ren Yangwei) has ended his contract with the team and left the team as a free agent. Many thanks to old eLeVeN for his help in putting out the fires within the team since January this year, and for his orders in the middle of a crisis.”  announced the organization on its Weibo page.

In a separate Weibo post, the organization also announced that Lou "lou" Zhen has also been released from the active roster. The carry player has been transferred back to the organization’s sister team, Ybb Gaming.

Following the announcements, the current roster of Xtreme Gaming is as follows:

  1. T.B.A

  2. Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun

  3. T.B.A

  4. Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan

  5. Ding “Dy” Cong

Both old eLeVeN & lou joined Xtreme Gaming in early January, as the organization was looking to prove itself after earning a promotion to Division I of the Chinese DPC league. While the team was able to achieve back to back top three finishes in the following two tours, the team did not gain enough DPC points to automatically qualify for The International 2022 (TI11).

The organization managed to qualify for the Last Chance Qualifiers, but its 5th-6th finish at the qualifiers prevented it from qualifying for the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year.

As of now, there is no additional announcement regarding the players’ replacements but with the roster shuffle deadline slowly approaching many teams, including Xtreme Gaming, will finalize their new rosters for the upcoming competitive season by 9th December.
