Virtus.pro announced its newest roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit season.
The roster consists of a mix between young and upcoming players as well as experienced players such as Noticed & Dukalis.
Gpk & DM have been moved to the inactive roster for the time being.

The roster shuffle season has begun to officially pick up traction as Eastern European (EEU) powerhouse Virtus.pro had officially its newest roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. Despite having a decent competitive season, Virtus.Pro failed to qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) on multiple occasions.

Following its recent competitive season, the team has already parted ways with three of its players during the roster shuffle season. Additionally, the roster is built on the mix of young and talented players as well as experienced players from the previous DPC season.

Virtus.pro fully rebuilds as gpk & DM move to inactive roster

“The time has come. Virtus.рrо announces a new Dota 2 roster!” Virtus.pro wrote in its announcement post on Twitter.

Here is Virtus.Pro’s confirmed roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC):

  1. Kamil "Koma`" Biktimirov

  2. Ilya "squad1x" Kuvaldin

  3. Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko

  4. Oleg "sayuw" Kalenbet

  5. Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin

  6. Timur "Ahilles" Kulmuhambetov (head coach)

Virtus.pro has had a rough competitive year, despite doing well in the regional DPC league. Additionally, the team had to compete under the neutral tag of Outsiders after the beginning of the Ukraine-Russia conflict as the team’s ownership group at the time had ties to companies and individuals sanctioned by both the American and European governments.

While the team did manage to return under its original name after a change of ownership, the team was flooded with issues during the competitive season as former player Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko’s contract with the team was terminated after drawing a pro-war symbol on the minimap during an official DPC match. Furthermore, the team had to brutally miss out on a direct invitation to TI11 by 1 point.

While the team did manage to qualify for the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ), the team were unable to win when it mattered most as it lost both Upper Bracket & Lower Bracket Finals to eventual second & third place finishers at TI11, Team Secret & Team Liquid.

Following its disappointing competitive season, the organization went for a full rebuild as it parted ways with Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev at the start of the off-season, followed by the support duo of Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy & Egor "Xakoda" Lipartiya. Furthermore, mid laner Danil "gpk" Skutin & Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin have been moved to the inactive roster for the time being.

While Virtus.pro’s roster is made up of young and upcoming players, the roster also consisted of experienced players in the form of Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko & Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin, who recently played for BetBoom Team & Alliance respectively.
