Highlights
Kuku, the beloved Filipino player, was invited by Varizh to play at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 qualifiers.
The team supposedly featured Yowe too but the squad was not spotted at the BetBoom Dacha open qualifiers.

In a recent stream, one of South East Asia’s (SEA) favorite players, Carlo "Kuku" Palad, was invited by Rizki "Varizh" Varizh to play in the qualifiers of the BetBoom Dacha 2024 just "for fun" . The invitation was extended by Varizh to Kuku to play with Yuri "Yowe" Pacaña. Kuku disclosed on stream that he was messaged via Facebook and continued to casually stream, saying that he would reply to the proposal later on.

Although Kuku did not confirm nor deny his participation in the BetBoom Dacha 2024 qualifiers with Varizh and Yowe, fans expect to see the Filipino star player in action once again.

Did Kuku Participate in The BetBoom Dacha 2024 Qualifier?

During one of his recent streams, Filipino player Kuku received an invitation to play in the BetBoom Dacha 2024 qualifiers through a Facebook message which he casually revealed to his viewers on stream. The invitation was sent by Varizh who last played for Army Geniuses. The team Kuku was invited to play in also reportedly included former Army Geniuses midlaner, Yowe.

Kuku, the Filipino player who last played for Blacklist International, is a much-loved player in the South East Asian region. He has been struggling to find success in the Dota 2 esports landscape recently. The once top-tier player now seems to have fallen off or it could be the case that his luck has seemingly run out.

The last tournament he won was in 2021 with T1 at the ESL One Summer 2021. The last two years — 2022 and 2023 — have not been good for Kuku as he and the teams he represented failed to qualify for some major tournaments including The International 2022 and The International 2023.

Varizh and Yowe, who were both part of Army Geniuses last, have also not been doing too well in the professional scene. Both these players have only been playing in the Tier 2, Tier 3, and 4 scenes where they are still chasing wins and successes.

The BetBoom Dacha 2024 Southeast Asian open qualifiers have already started and the potential team of Kuku, Varizh, and Yowe have not been spotted in action yet. However, Titan, a Chinese team, that features veteran Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei managed to secure its spot at the closed qualifier through the open qualifier #1. The second team to secure its spot at the closed qualifier through open qualifier #2 will be decided later today on 6th January.

The BetBoom Dacha 2024 closed qualifier for Southeast Asia and China will kick off on 7th January where teams like Azure Ray, G2.iG, Team Aster, Blacklist International, Talon Esports, and Geek Fam are ready to play.
