During a recent interview with TeaGuvnor, Topson talked about the blooming innovation in Dota 2 community
Topson also said he was not the most innovative player as the builds he tries on heroes have already been discovered
Topson's words of wisdom : "keep an open mind, see if there's something cool going on, and see if I can even improve it."

Tundra Esports’ Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen is widely recognized for his unorthodox and innovative gameplay. From his signature Pugna to Oracle mid, Topson always finds a new and interesting way to play heroes and is mostly successful with these builds and hero choices.

During the recent PGL Wallachia Season 1 Western European closed qualifiers Robson "TeaGuvnor" Merritt sat down with Tundra Esports Topson for a post-game interview. TeaGuvnor sought Topson's opinion on what he felt about the innovation in the Dota 2 community.

To which Topson replied that he was positive the Dota 2 community is more innovative than ever and most of the interesting ways to play heroes have been discovered already.

Topson Acknowledges the Innovation in the Dota 2 Community

During a recent interview with TeaGuvnor at the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Western Europe closed qualifiers, Topson expressed that the Dota 2 community was more innovative with builds and hero picks than ever before.

He said, "I think nowadays people are pretty innovative, and everything that... I also play. I'm sure a lot of people have done it before like the sniper build from XM, from which team I can't remember. Anyway, yeah, the Chinese support the void and stuff like that. Yeah, I mean, a lot of these builds are just like, see something cool and I'm like, 'Oh, this is a cool idea, maybe I can follow up on it, you know?'

He further added “I think a lot of players are open-minded nowadays, so they kind of look at ideas and they either just... I mean, copy and study it or they think they have something to add on top of it, so they make it even better and stuff like that. I mean, that's kind of what I'm trying to do: keep an open mind, see if there's something cool going on, and see if I can even improve it."

The Dota 2 community has seen a spike in innovative builds for heroes over the years and it could be possibly due to the bloom in Dota 2 content creation where certain YouTubers like Rizpol, Dotown, and DATHOLEONG are always coming up with weird new builds to try on heroes.

From Khanda and Divine Rapier rush on Sniper to Spirit Breaker with six movement speed items, these YouTubers have been covering it all. Now the big question remains what is the next broken build that the Dota 2 community will come up with?
