Team Undying, who is currently bootcamping from Europe (EU) in preparation for The International 10 (TI10), has hired a new Dota 2 coach. Previously a player and a coach for TNC Predator, Kim "Febby" Yong-min now joins Team Undying's coaching staff, the independent organization of Team Undying announced via its Twitter handle. In the past few days, Febby, who is from South Korea, has been playing in EU pubs leading to rumors about his possible new role as a coach. To qualify for the biggest Dota 2 event of the year, Team Undying won TI10's North American (NA) qualifier in July 2021.

“TI is still a month away, but consistent practice will be our key to success. Oh yeah, and @Febbydota is our coach," Team Undying announced as it welcomed its new Dota 2 coach.

After this addition, Team Undying's TI10 squad is as follows:

  1. Enzo "Timado" Gianoli O'Connor

  2. Jonathan Bryle "Bryle" Santos De Guia

  3. Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek

  4. David "MoonMeander" Tan Boon Yang

  5. Kim "DuBu" Doo-young

Febby is relatively new to the coaching role since his only previous stint as a coach was with TNC Predator for a year in 2020 before he eventually joined them as a support player. During this period, he guided the team to a 7-8th place finish at the DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.

Previously, Febby and DuBu were teammates for MVP Phoenix in 2016. The team was one of the most formidable competitors during that time and eventually placed 5th-6th at TI6.

Team Undying, which came together just before the start of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021, has signed its first official coach. After making good progress over the months, the team finally had a good showing at TI10's NA qualifier by not dropping a single series and qualifying for TI10. They had expressed an interest in partnering with an organization but decided a few days later to compete under their own banner at TI10.

In addition, Team Undying had also announced a fundraiser to support their TI10 bootcamp. Their efforts have ended with decent community support.

Recently, the team participated in the Sapphire OGA Dota PIT Invitational and lost back to back series to finish 7th-8th. With its new coach, Team Undying has a month to analyze and prepare strategies for TI10, the most lucrative tournament in esports. TI10 will take place from 7th-17th Oct 2021.
