T1 vs PSG.LGD: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In game 1, PSG.LGD outplayed T1 with flawless laning skills in the first 10 minutes. T1 responded with Karl's Triple Kill shortly afterward, but PSG.LGD made sure that the enemies did not have any more chances to attack. Ame was extremely efficient in farming on Terrorblade and, with an Empower on top of that, he soared to the top of the networth chart. PSG.LGD played perfectly and used its lead to the fullest extent possible to end the game in 35 minutes.

A nail-biter, game 2 was probably the most intense game of the tournament thus far. In the first few minutes, PSG.LGD showed off its laning skills, but T1 came back with a few major kills with Karl's Doom. While both teams farmed well, T1's cores just scaled better. In the middle of the game, there was an insane teamfight where all ten players bought back, but in the end, T1's superior teamfight draft and execution won them the game in 54 minutes.

Game 3 was a mega stomp. PSG.LGD denied the Doom pick by banning the hero during the first phase, which seemed to have a significant impact. Once again, the Chinese squad came out on top during the laning phase. NothingToSay's Ember Spirit led the charge as PSG.LGD hunted enemy heroes across the map. As T1 attempted to fight back, they were overpowered by tons of damage and eventually went down in 37 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

In the first and particularly in the third game, PSG.LGD demonstrated why they are regarded as favorites. In laning, pushing the high ground, or getting kills, they never missed a beat and never let their opponent get comfortable.

T1, however, played some of its comfort heroes and while they won a thrilling second match, they were no match for PSG.LGD in the first and third game. Magnus proved very potent in this series as PSG.LGD won with it in the first and third games, and T1 won with it in the second.

PSG.LGD will play the winner of Vici Gaming vs Virtus.pro in the next round of the upper bracket, while T1 will play Alliance for TI10 survival in the lower bracket.
