Juan "lalatronii" Rosales, currently the second-highest ranked player in the South American Dota 2 leaderboard just behind Adrián "Wisper" Dobles of OG, allegedly experienced a tragic accident recently. As a result, he lost parts of two fingers on his left hand. Lalatronii shared details about the accident on Reddit and Facebook, where he is also appealing to the Dota 2 community for financial assistance during this difficult period. 

He plans to initiate a fundraiser soon to help with medical and rehabilitation expenses. Known for his role as a mid laner, lalatronii was last associated with NoLimitsGaming.


lalatronii’s Unfortunate Accident 

On 29th December, lalatronii turned to social media platforms like Facebook and Reddit to disclose his ongoing treatment and confinement to bed rest. He detailed the incident, which occurred on Christmas Eve (24th December). He revealed that he lost part of his left thumb and index finger due to this accident.

He said, “Hello, my people. I am deeply saddened to inform you that on Christmas Eve, I suffered a quite serious accident, in which I lost parts of two fingers on my left hand (thumb and index finger). In fact, I am currently bedridden, undergoing treatment.

The 20-year-old player announced his intention to host a fundraiser shortly, aiming to gather funds for his medical bills. He mentioned the potential need for a prosthesis, adding,, “My family and I are greatly affected by this incident, trying to stay afloat as best as we can. Over the coming days, we will be organizing a fundraiser to cover medical expenses and the rehabilitation process that I must follow, not to mention a potential prosthesis that I may need.” 

Lalatronii called upon his fans and the Dota 2 community for support in these trying times. He stated, “Any kind of moral or financial support is more than welcome. I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.” Lastly, on a positive note, he said, “I genuinely hope this isn't a ‘goodbye,’ but just a ‘see you later.

Apart from mentioning the date of the accident, lalatronii did not disclose further details.


The Peruvian esports athlete shared his “yape” account details, a digital payment system akin to Google Pay in Peru, and provided a bank account for contributions towards his medical and rehabilitation expenses.
