After Team Liquid beat Team Falcons in a 2-1 series and advanced to the lower bracket semi-finals in the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament, Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek appeared in a post-game interview with Jake "SirActionSlacks" Kanner. SabeRLight- revealed the worst team to play against in the new patch of 7.35. His reasoning behind this statement was due to the buffs for heroes like Mars, Timbersaw, and Razor.

SabeRLight- on the Worst Team to Play Against Due to Buffs in New Patch

During the post-game interview with SirActionSlacks, SabeRLight-, who is currently playing as the stand-in for Team Liquid’s Neta "33" Shapira, revealed the worst team to play against in the new patch. He named Team Falcons as the worst team to play against in Patch 7.35 due to the buffs for heroes like Mars, Timbersaw, and Razor, which directly benefits Falcons.

He joked that Valve CEO Gabe Newell likes Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf because the new patch has buffed ATF’s core heroes. SabeRLight- also remarked how Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, the mid-laner for Team Falcons, has the three-buffed heroes in his hero pool. He further added that it is just "unlucky" for them.

Despite the new patch update seemingly favoring Team Falcons, Team Liquid managed to beat Falcons in the lower bracket quarterfinals, knocking it out of the tournament. As a result, Team Liquid has now secured a top-four finish at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Game one was in favor of Team Falcons as Team Liquid had no answer for Team Falcon’s Naga Siren. Team Liquid lacked the damage to take down the tanky heroes of Team Falcons and eventually lost to the tower dives and aggression from its opponent.

During game two, Team Liquid opted for a Leshrac carry and Omniknight offlane. This proved to be a devastating synergy of skills as Leshrac would deal massive amounts of damage to Team Falcons while being protected by Omniknight.

In the last game, Team Liquid tried to use the same strategy but Team Falcons made a respect ban for SabeRLight- 's Omniknight. This was in vain as Team Liquid forced good skirmishes around the map and Michael "miCKe" Vu's Bloodseekr also got a Rampage, eventually winning the series and knocking out the newly formed MENA [Middle East & North Africa] team.

After getting eliminated, in a post-game interview, Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen expressed his optimism about the top six finish at the tournament considering the fact that it is Falcon’s first LAN tournament.

He added that there are a lot of LAN tournaments coming up in the competitive calendar. Cr1t- added, “We’re in not in a rush to be good and we want to make it in time for Riyadh [Masters] and TI [The International].
