With the end of the group stage for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 on 13th December, the eight teams that will participate in the playoffs have been determined. With the group stage done and dusted, Wawitas Sagazes, 9Pandas, Blacklist International, and LGD Gaming have all been eliminated from the tournament. Of the remaining eight teams, four have been seeded in the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the other four are seeded in the lower bracket.
Gamin Gladiators managed to secure a spot in the upper bracket after its mid-laner Quinn "Quinn" Callahan managed to beat Team Secret’s Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng in a 1v1 tiebreaker.
It is to be noted that the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 playoffs will be held from 15th December to 17th December. However, the upper bracket quarter finals are scheduled on the final day of the group stages which is on 13th December.
