A key member of Na'Vi’s Dota 2 roster, Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian, has parted ways with the organization and is now searching for a new team. RodjER was "removed" from Na'Vi’s roster according to Valve's Majors Registrations Page as of 3rd Aug 2021. A day later, on 4th August, the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) support player tweeted that he is seeking a new team. RodjER's departure from Na'Vi's squad follows the organization's decision to put the entire Dota 2 roster into inactive status in July 2021, following their "unsatisfactory performance" in the Eastern Europe (EEU) qualifier of The International 10 (TI10).

CIS support player, RodjER is looking for a new Dota 2 team

In the tweet where he communicated his search for a new team, RodjER did not mention any details of leaving Na'Vi.

However, as per Valve’s Majors Registration Page, RodjER will no longer be seen playing with the squad.

RodjEr removed from Na'vi's squad.

On 24th July , Na'Vi announced that it had benched the team that had participated in TI10's EEU qualifier. In addition, the organization released a video interview with its Chief Operating Officer (COO), Aleksey "xaoc" Kucherov, in which he discussed the reasons behind the team's release, their future plans in the Dota 2 domain, and more.

The former captain of the team, Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev, had left the squad soon after the TI qualifiers ended. Since RodjER has now left as well, the three remaining members of Na'Vi's roster that were recently benched are:

  • Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev

  • Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko

  • Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey

Some other players also sit in the team's inactive roster but they have not played in a while now.

RodjER’s recent journey with Na'Vi

In September 2020, RodjER was brought on board with his squad, FlyToMoon, by Na'Vi on a trial basis. The two parties signed a permanent agreement three months later. Since joining the squad, the CIS support player has achieved notable achievements including placing second at the ESL One Germany 2020, winning the OGA Dota PIT S4: Europe/CIS, and ranking second at the ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Upper Division.

Na'Vi struggled following some roster changes after the first Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, failing to qualify for the second Major, and failing to win the TI10 EEU qualifier.

In the future, it will be interesting to see which team RodjER joins and who Na'Vi acquires to form a new Dota 2 roster.
