Quincy Crew Will Undergo Roster Changes Heading Into Next Season

Quincy Crew will be undergoing roster changes heading into the next Dota 2 competitive season, the team’s manager Jack "KBBQ" Chen has announced via a Twitter post. He mentioned that the group of players were ready to embark on new opportunities after being together for a long time. In addition, KBBQ clarified that no hard feelings were involved, but it was just a case of moving on. At The International 10 (TI10), Quincy Crew finished 9th-12th and won $800,400 in prize money. The team was eliminated by OG in the lower bracket of TI10's Main Event.

Quincy Crew’s roster will be changed in DPC 2021-22

“It’s hard typing these words, but there will be significant changes to Quincy Crew,” said KBBQ in his Twitter post. While he called the changes significant in the tweet, it is unknown what the magnitude of them will be.

Quincy Crew’s current Dota 2 roster:

1. Yawar "YawaR" Hassan

2. Quinn "Quinn" Callahan

3. Rodrigo "Lelis" Santos

4. Arif "MSS" Anwar

5. Avery "SVG" Silverman

Quincy Crew’s players, as mentioned by KBBQ, have been together for quite a while. All players, barring Lelis, have been on and off the rosters of multiple organizations, such as Newbee, Forward Gaming, and Chaos Esports Club, in the past two years. In March 2020, Quincy Crew was reformed, and Lelis joined the team in June 2021, resulting in the current roster.

Throughout 2020, the team participated in several online competitions, and they were very successful, winning a total of nine events. Then, Quincy Crew was a top performer in the North American regional league of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021. The team competed in both Majors of the season and its best finish was 5th-6th at the WePlay AniMajor.

The team also hired former Vikin.gg offlaner, Maurice "KheZu" Gutmann, as a coach for TI10.

Additionally, the fact that TI was delayed by more than a year means that most teams have been competing for a considerable time together. Thus, not only Quincy Crew, but teams from other regions may see some roster changes before the start of the next DPC season.

Earlier this month, Alliance revealed the schedule of the DPC 2021-22 in a tweet. The first regional league will begin on 29th Nov 2021. There will be three regional leagues and three majors, and the season is tentatively scheduled to end in August 2022. The schedule of the DPC 2021-22 has yet to be officially announced by Valve.
