OG keeps its hopes of making the threepeat alive as the team defeated Quincy Crew 2-0 in the lower bracket of The International 10 (TI10)'s Main Event. In this series, the odds were stacked against Quincy Crew, however the team put forth an outstanding effort that made the series quite competitive. A stunning mid Void Spirit performance from Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen in the first game, and Dawnbreaker from him in the second game, proved to be quite decisive. OG vs Quincy Crew: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In Game 1, both teams had well-rounded drafts, but Quincy Crew played well in the early to mid game. While countering any aggression brought by their enemies, it made crisp rotations that led to important kills. Yawar was massively boosted due to the Empower buff, while SumaiL had been severely punished. Despite this, Topson stood up big time and found some precious kills with his Void Spirit. His fearless playstyle brought OG back into the game and helped it to a 40 minute win. At the end of the game, Topson had a KDA of 20-3-4.

Game 2 saw OG pick SumaiL his signature Templar Assassin despite the enemies getting a Medusa carry. The laning for Quincy Crew did not go as planned despite having a draft advantage. Over the course of the game, OG kept killing the enemy heroes and shrinking their map. On his mid Dawnbreaker, Topson once again stole the show as OG won in 38 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

In the first game, Quincy Crew had a great chance to win but was not able to pull through. Even though OG was down early, they resisted, and coupled with the strong play of Topson, they were able to come back in game one and carry the momentum over into game two. In the second game, Quincy Crew never found its footing and made some key mistakes.

To see one brother knock another brother out from the game's highest stage is certainly disheartening. YawaR's journey at TI10 may have ended, but he made sure to wish his brother the best of luck going forward.

OG will now face Team Spirit in the lower bracket of TI10's Main Event. OG is the defending champion, but it still has a long way to go in the lower bracket.
