Renowned Dota 2 streamer and personality, Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski recently hit the 11,000 MMR (Matchmaking Rating) milestone after missing out on it by one win, six times.
The moment was livestreamed on Twitch on 17th April 2024, Wednesday, for his fans and followers to see.
Gorgc noted after achieving the milestone that he had never felt such relief in his life before. He also jokingly said that he was the world’s first 11,000 MMR player.
Six months ago, Gorgc had hit the 10,000 MMR mark for the second time, having achieved it for the first time back in 2022.
Gorgc Hits 11,000 MMR Milestone After Numerous Attempts
Gorgc recently hit the 11,000 MMR milestone and expressed he had never felt such relief in his life before. He had first achieved 10,000 MMR back in 2022 and was hovering around the 9,000 MMR mark since almost a year.
Six months ago, he was successful in reclaiming the 10,000 MMR milestone and set his sights on attaining 11,000 MMR in Dota 2.
After weeks of attempting to reach the milestone and facing failure multiple times, Gorgc was finally able to reach 11,000 MMR following a win with his trusty old Bristleback carry.
Right after winning, Gorgc gave a victory speech in which he said, “Guys, finally! Dude, that's a relief. Alright, the relief I feel right now—I've never felt anything like this, ever. Hitting a milestone in Dota 2, not even close. The amount of teasing Gabe was fu**king lifting his skirt in front of me. Oh, you want the 11k? Six times!”
He further emphasized how dearly he had been chasing this achievement and had come close to it multiple times in the past, “Six times, I was one game off in the past three weeks. I've had many sleepless fu**ing nights, thinking, 'Oh f**k, if only I picked this hero, if only I didn't chain CC, if only I didn't die'".
Gorgc also revealed that he spent many nights just laying in bed and thinking about the mistakes he made during the crucial landmark games but it did not matter anymore because he had finally achieved the 11,000 MMR milestone.
Right after, he acknowledged that there are Dota 2 players with even higher MMR but said it meant a lot to him that he was able to achieve 11,000 MMR and that is the only thing that mattered.
Gorgc concluded by stating, “Thank f**king god, dude. I feel so relieved. It finally feels... what a relief, bro. What a relief. World first, you know? It's in the books, guys. Miracle first 10k, Gorgc first 11k, guys. It's in the books. It's in the book, man.”
It is only natural that the next goal for Gorgc would be to secure the 12,000 MMR milestone, a feat that was recently acquired by former Entity player Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau on 13th April 2024.
