With survival on the line, OG gave everything in the Bo2 series against Team Spirit at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, but it was not enough as the team lost the second game and was eliminated. After a thrilling first game, in which OG defeated Spirit, it started game two strong but seemed to lose momentum as Spirit was able to kite and make space for its cores. After being ousted along with nouns in Group B, among the first few teams out of the event, OG's Ceb was dissatisfied with the outcome and provided an honest evaluation of the team's performance.

“I think it comes down a lot to - I hate to say it because that’s usually the last thing I go back to, but I think it comes down to individual performance at the end of the day. You know, result wise, we are one of the worst teams of this tournament but I think all our first 15-20 minutes, our system, it feels like we always start really strong against these best teams.”

Ceb then mentioned how it had the leads in games against Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming but they did not translate into victories and required a better understanding of various aspects of the game situations.

He reiterated problems with individual performances, saying that the effort they exerted was not enough in the end.

“I think it comes down to a lot of individual performance. Some players were not in their best shape or had a rough time outside the game, inside the game. We tried to help as much as we could. We put up a fight but I think at the end of the day, it was just too short.”

As Ceb added, the team initially entered the competition with certain strategies that proved to not work out, requiring them to adjust as tehy played. Despite a 2-0 loss to Xtreme Gaming, OG looked better during its last two series against Xtreme Gaming and Team Spirit. It was a disappointing end for OG but Ceb mentioned that they would grow stronger from here on out.

With the season just beginning, the player also took to Twitter to summarize the tournament result, saying that it was rough, but the team would make the necessary changes to come back stronger.

OG will aim to gather itself before its next appearance at DreamLeague Season 22, which begins on 25th Feb 2024. Historically, the organization has shown a tendency to grow stronger over time so it might showcase improved results in the coming events.
