OB.Neon has undergone another surprising roster change following the departure of its captain, Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong, a few days ago. As a result, only three players remain on OB.Neon's Dota 2 roster following the departure of two of its mainstays. OB.Neon is yet to announce the replacements of Yopaj and skem.

Yopaj’s journey with OB.Neon

Yopaj joined OB.Neon's Dota 2 roster in September 2019 and eventually became one of the most skilled midlaners in Southeast Asia (SEA). The team dominated the regional Tier 2-3 scene in 2020, taking home a total of eight titles. In 2021, with its second place finish in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021 regional league and its 5th-6th finish at the Singapore Major 2021, OB.Neon made a name for itself in the SEA region as well as the international scene.

Dota 2 fans around the globe particularly hailed Yopaj for his incredible mid lane performances at the Singapore Major, which led to the hashtag #yopajismyidol being created.

OB.Neon Yopaj at the Singapore Major

OB.Neon has not performed particularly well following its heroics at the Singapore Major 2021, leading to a number of roster changes.

Four out of five players who performed exceptionally well in the first season of the DPC 2021, Skem, Yopaj, John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas, and Prieme Ejay "PlayHard" Banquil, are now gone from the lineup. Currently, these four players have no team. Only Jaunuel, who has been with the team for a long time, remains on OB.Neon's Dota 2 roster.

OB.Neon will open its campaign in the QH Sports Dota Series 2 on 2nd Sept 2021 when it faces Ragdoll and Army Geniuses. Therefore, we can expect to see the remaining two players of the Filipino organization’s Dota 2 roster announced within the next couple of days.
