OB.Neon's unquestionable dominance of the Southeast Asian Circuit (SEA) tier 2 circuit continues with its win at the PNXBET Invitationals Southeast Asia Season 2. The grand final of the event saw Motivate.Trust Gaming put up a great fight and take it to five games, but OB.Neon managed to outlast them and win 3-2. As arguably the MVP of the grand final, Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer was impeccable in the mid lane, especially in the third and fifth games. Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong, who played the carry role instead of John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas, also delivered some excellent performances, while Timothy John "Tims" Randrup lived up to his role as a stand-in.

OB.Neon vs Motivate.Trust Gaming: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game 1 was a resounding victory for Motivate.Trust Gaming. With a favorable draft, they got ahead in the laning phase and then consistently got kills to keep the opponent from getting back into the game. While OB.Neon prolonged the game, they were never strong enough to take Motivate.Trust Gaming head on, losing in 41 minutes.

In Game 2, Yopaj was on fire with a 22-5-7 KDA on his mid Puck. As the networth chart fluctuated back and forth, the game overall was incredibly competitive. At the 50 minute mark, OB.Neon won a crucial teamfight that helped them win the game.

In Game 3, Skem came out with an unconventional safe lane as he drafted a Dragon Knight for himself. The first 30 minutes of the game were relatively quiet, with only supports dying randomly. Skem's safe lane Dragon Knight farmed a lot and proved to be unkillable by that time as OB.Neon won the game in 37 minutes.

Game 4 was a bloodbath as both teams repeatedly engaged in skirmishes. This led to JaCkky getting a Rampage 10 minutes into the game. After several rounds of teamfighting, Motivate.Trust Gaming eventually got a gigantic lead. Skem tried to split push with his Nature's Prophet, but his team failed to teamfight, losing the game in 42 minutes.

Game 5 was Yopaj's show as he went ham on his mid lane Ember Spirit. In the early part of the game, OB.Neon might not have had a networth lead, but they were getting kills led by Yopaj. After 32 minutes, it was over with OB.Neon taking the win with ease. Yopaj finished the game with a perfect 20-0-7 KDA.
