With its star midlaner Amer "Miracle-" al-Barkawi’s return, Nigma Galaxy has broken the shambles of two consecutive losses to earn a series win. While the two losses occurred during the ongoing regional league in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22, the win came against Alliance in the OGA Dota PIT Season 5: Europe/CIS. The series ended with a 2-1 win for Nigma Galaxy, though both sides made some errors along the way. The series was also crucial for Alliance since the team had also lost two series in the DPC but it performed below par once again.

Nigma Galaxy vs Alliance: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game 1 was chaotic as it gets. In this 52 minute back and forth contest, there were lots of buybacks, missed spells, some great executions, and dodges by the tiniest of margins. Although Alliance had the lead in networth, it was always down to the execution of teamfights that determined the winner, and Nigma Galaxy was able to do so in the end.

In game 2, Nigma Galaxy ended up with a slight lead thanks to its lane-driving heroes. Furthermore, the team killed Nikobaby's Sven three times in the first 13 minutes. However, Alliance's teamfight ability was much better with clear target prioritization and the team did a great job in achieving that. After losing one fight after another, Nigma Galaxy suffered a 42 minute defeat.

In game 3, both sides used comfort heroes but one stood out in particular - iLTW's Anti Mage. It was impressive how well he controlled Lelis' Legion Commander in the safelane with KuroKy's Abaddon. With its three other players, Nigma Galaxy made flawless moves to constantly find kills. As the kills and lead grew, a monstrous Anti Mage showed up on their base, and Alliance wrote 'GG' in 30 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

With Miracle- returning for the series against Alliance in the OGA Dota PIT S5, it became critical for Nigma Galaxy to win to ensure high self-confidence heading into the DPC for its third series against OG on 14th Dec 2021. Two consecutive losses have already hurt Nigma Galaxy's chances of gaining top positions in the DPC league, but now that the full roster is back, the team may just turn the corner.

It has been a disappointing series of events for Alliance with its new roster. It has now lost three straight series, two of them at the DPC. The team has looked strong at times but has failed to impress consistently.

As a result of this series, Nigma Galaxy moves to the next round of the upper bracket where it will face the winner of Team Liquid vs Team Secret. Alliance drops to the lower bracket where it will face the loser of Team Liquid vs Team Secret.
