A strong and clean performance by Fnatic in the gruesome BO1 match against Team Undying has helped them avoid elimination in The International 10 (TI10)'s Main Event. However, it also means that Team Undying is eliminated at TI10 with 13th-16th place finish, securing $600,300 USD in prize money. Due to its surprisingly strong performances in the group stage, Team Undying was expected to have the upper hand going into the matchup against Fnatic, but the latter surprised with calm and collected play, systematically picking apart their opponents. Fnatic will now play Team Spirit in the next round of the lower bracket of TI10's Main Event.

Fnatic vs Team Undying: Match recap and highlights

Since it was only a BO1 match, Fnatic provided its players with the best and most comfortable draft. ChYuan received Void Spirit, DJ received Clockwerk, Jabz received Nature's Prophet, Raven received Luna, and Deth played Legion Commander. The draft was quite thorough, in total.

Fnatic outplayed Team Undying in the laning stage. Since the opponents were playing for the late game using Naga Siren as their carry, Fnatic made sure to be the aggressors, constantly finding kills and taking objectives. While Team Undying put up a battle, they never failed to win. The game got out of hand pretty quickly as Fnatic won in just 28 minutes.

The MVP of this match went to DJ for his breathtaking Clockwerk performance.

Here are some highlights of the series.

Now that the BO1 matches are over, Fnatic can breathe a sigh of relief. They will face Team Spirit in the second round of the lower bracket on 13th Oct 2021. Team Spirit was knocked out of the upper bracket earlier today after losing 2-1 to Invictus Gaming. Fnatic will again be the underdog going into the matchup, so it will be interesting to see if they can pull off another upset.

Sadly, Team Undying, who had been impressive during the group stage of TI10, end their campaign on a disappointing note. Not only did they finish 13th-16th, but they also got thoroughly dominated by Fnatic in their lower bracket match. North America, the region that Team Undying represents, is now represented by only two teams, Quincy Crew and Evil Geniuses, both of whom are in the lower bracket. Hence, Quincy Crew and Evil Geniuses have a great deal on the line when they meet Team Aster and Elephant, respectively, later today.
