OB.Neon has announced the addition of a new stand-in to end the speculation regarding its roster for the BTS Pro Series S7: Southeast Asia.
Filipino player, Shanks, who currently represents Omega Esports, will be taking on the role of position four for OB.Neon in the BTS Pro Series online event.
OB.Neon will begin its journey in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA in the closed qualifier on 27th July, 2021, at 5:00 PM SGT against Team D.

OB.Neon has announced the addition of a new stand-in to end the speculation regarding its roster for the Beyond the Summit (BTS) Pro Series S7: Southeast Asia (SEA). Mark "Shanks" Redira from the Philippines, who currently represents Omega Esports, will be taking on the role of position four for OB.Neon in the BTS Pro Series online event. It is likely that either Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong, the team's captain, or John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas, the team's carry, will be missing from the playing lineup. In the recently concluded Dota 2 tournaments, OB.Neon competed with Timothy John "Tims" Randrup, the support player for TNC Predator.

OB.Neon continues to play with a stand in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA

“He (Shanks) will be playing the position 4 role and (is) partnered with his former teammate, Jaunuel,” said OB.Neon.

This announcement comes after the organization informed a day earlier, on 26th July, 2021, that Tims would no longer be filling in for them during the BTS Pro Series S7 event.

Since Tims had been participating as a stand in for Natsumi-, OB.Neon’s likely roster in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA will be:

  1. Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong

  2. Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer

  3. Michael Roi "Enryu" Ladines

  4. Mark "Shanks" Redira

  5. Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla

OB.Neon competed in the BIX Invitationals Summer and the PNXBET Invitationals Southeast Asia Season 2 with Tims as a substitute for Natsumi-. In a ruthless display, the team tackled most of their opponents with ease. The grand finals in both events went to five games, but OB.Neon managed to close them out in its favor.

In the BTS Pro Series S7, OB.Neon will look to continue on its current form and momentum. This time, however, they will be up against some stiff competition from two of the best teams of Southeast Asia, T1, and Fnatic, assuming they make it to the group stage.

OB.Neon will begin its journey in the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA in the closed qualifier on 27th July, 2021, at 5:00 PM SGT against Team D. Eight teams will be split into two groups of four each for this closed qualifier. Two teams from each group will advance to the group stage of the BTS Pro Series S7: SEA, where they will face T1, Fnatic, Motivate.Trust Gaming, and Team SMG.
