Nigma Galaxy has officially announced the addition of Saieful "Fbz" Ilham and Farith "Matthew" Puente to their Dota 2 lineup. This move comes in the wake of the departure of Daniel "Ghost" Chan and Roman "rmN-" Paley, leaving significant gaps in the team's composition. The announcement was made via X (formerly Twitter), just ahead of the upcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024 qualifiers.
Nigma Galaxy Completes Its Roster
After a disastrous performance at the DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers and BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai qualifier, Nigma Galaxy released Ghost and rmN- from its roster after less than 2 weeks together. Now, with Fbz and Matthew amongst its ranks, Nigma Galaxy seems to be gearing up for the upcoming tournaments and have better results.
“Look who made it to the boot camp. @Fbz_Saieful and @MatthewDotaaa will join us on this ride as our Pos 3 & 4 players!” Nigma Galaxy tweeted welcoming its newest additions to the team.
Fbz, hailing from Indonesia, previously competed in Team Secret on loan from BOOM Esports, securing a commendable 3rd place at BetBoom Dacha 2023.
Matthew is a Peruvian player who last played for BOOM Esports and was also a part of the International 2023 Evil Geniuses squad. Although 2023 was not a good year for Matthew, a new chance looms for him as a part of the Nigma Galaxy roster to make 2024 a fruitful year for himself and the team.
The diverse nationalities within Nigma Galaxy's roster introduce potential communication challenges, a common issue in international teams that could impact their cohesion and performance. This aspect will be critical to monitor as the team progresses.
Speculation surrounding Maroun "GH" Merhej's return to Nigma Galaxy was put to rest following the announcement of Fbz and Matthew's signing. Rumors had been circulating on social media, fueled by insights from Russian Dota 2 commentator Khaled "sQreen" El-Khabbash and confirmed by Entity’s Vladimir "No[o]ne-" Minenko, but have since been dispelled.
With a complete roster, Nigma Galaxy is now gearing up for the upcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024 qualifiers and hopes to have better results than DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers and BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai qualifiers.
