Dota 2 teams from around the world have spent the past month, after The International 12 (TI12), restructuring and warming up, and ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 will be their first major test. 12 of the world's best teams will compete in the tournament, which takes place from 11th to 17th Dec 2023. A total of three teams were invited directly, while the remaining nine made their way through the qualifiers. Prize money totaling $1,000,000 USD will be at stake. Based on final positions, the $1,000,000 will be divided among the 12 teams as follows.

5th-6th - $57,500 (1,680 EPT Points)

The ESL One Kuala Lumpur, which is vital for getting a head start in the ESL Pro Tour (EPT), will tell which team emerges as the winner from the recent month of roster changes. Except for Gaimin and BetBoom, all of the other teams have changed. Falcons will be a team to watch because it performed well in the Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show recently and has match practice heading into the event.
