Earlier in the week, Nigma Galaxy fans were disheartened as they saw the departure of Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov from the team and Maroun "GH" Merhej’s placement on the inactive roster. Nigma Galaxy also bid adieu to its carry, Yuma "Yuma" Langlet, and its mid-laner Kasra "Mikey" Mesbah. However, a couple of days later, the community was in for a sweet surprise.
On 21st December, Nigma Galaxy announced the official return of The King, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, as its new mid-laner for the upcoming 2024 season.
Just when things seemed like they couldn’t get any better, the next day on 22nd December, Nigma Galaxy announced the return of star player Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi. The community undoubtedly was stoked to see the return of the two players to Nigma Galaxy.
The Return of The King and Miracle- to Nigma Galaxy
On 22nd December, it became official that SumaiL and Miracle- would be playing for Nigma Galaxy once more. Miracle-’s return to the professional scene was much anticipated as the community has been longing for his return for over a year. He took a break from competitive Dota 2 due to some health issues. Meanwhile, SumaiL was loaned out to Team Aster in 2023 and spent his time playing for the Chinese team.
This announcement by Nigma Galaxy took the Dota 2 community by storm and even some Dota 2 organizations were excited to see the return of Miracle- to the pro scene.

Likewise, Tundra Esports commented, “Nigma giving Christmas presents to the community or what is this?!,” under Miracle-’s return announcement video.
Interestingly, earlier on 22nd December, Entity Esports posted a photo of retired and inactive Dota 2 players and prayed for their return to pro play. When Nigma Galaxy announced the return of Miracle-, Entity simply tweeted, “??? the gods have answered.”
Meanwhile, prominent Dota 2 streamer and content creator Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski said, “It’s been a while, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the real Miracle. God Damn!”
Several other organizations like LGD Gaming also took to X to express excitement over this addition to Nigma Galaxy.
On a Reddit thread discussing the reunion of SumaiL and Miracle-, a fan commented, “Miracle + Sumail duo with another try, hope it's more successful this time. Curious what are the missing 2 players.Nontheless HYPE!”
Miracle, alongside SumaiL, won the DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II in 2022 but couldn’t find much success in other events. With this reunion in 2024, the duo will undoubtedly look forward to bringing their A-game and bringing back Nigma Galaxy to winning ways.
