Dendi, despite some stumbling in his professional Dota 2 career lately, made sure that he takes his fandom to the next level by making an appearance in a commercial for Lenovo, a multinational technology company (MNC) headquartered in China. Danil "Dendi" Ishutin, could be seen promoting one of the company's gaming laptops it produces under the "Lenovo Legion'' series in the video advertisement posted on the player’s Twitter handle. In this fantasy-themed commercial, the Ukrainian midlaner uses the laptop's capabilities to keep himself and his laptop safe from thieves. CIS players such as Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev have also starred in ads for brands like Head and Shoulders previously.

In his commercial, titled "Dendi & Lenovo by Legion," the player joked that he had heard rumors about the laptop he was promoting having a "midlane-win helper technology."

In the video, Dendi walks through a deserted area where a gang of thugs snatches his laptop. The thugs refuse to return Dendi's laptop, so the player and the laptop harness their inner power to drive them away. The TI1 champion also transforms into a superhero during the outro of the gaming laptop’s advertisement.

Dota 2 is quite popular in CIS countries such as Russia and Ukraine, and brands have approached players of the game to promote their products. RAMZES666 has been a brand ambassador for Nike and Russian telecommunications company, Rostelecom, in addition to appearing in a commercial for Head and Shoulders. HellRaisers captain, Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok, also recently appeared in a commercial for Calvin Klein Jeans.

What is Dendi up to now?

Dendi plays as a midlaner for his own team, B8 Esports, which he founded in January 2020. The team recently played in The International 10 (TI10) Eastern Europe (EEU) qualifier but was unable to qualify for TI10.

Dendi has not been a part of the best touches or teams since he left Natus Vincere in 2019. The last TI Dendi attended was TI6. Through the TIs, he has placed 1st at TI1, 2nd at TI2, 2nd at TI3, 7th-8th at TI4, 13th-16th at TI5, and 13th-16th at TI6. All of the TIs he attended were with Natus Vincere.

However, as a result of the legacy he has created throughout all these years, Dendi has a large fanbase and attracts many viewers on his Twitch livestream. While the competitive scene is not very active, Dendi streams almost every day.
