In the first game, BOOM Esports snowballed from the laning stage, enabling it to secure a quick victory. While the entire team was impressive, the midlaner Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer once again stood out.

BOOM Esports vs OB.Neon: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In game 1, BOOM Esports selected an early to midgame lineup - an offlane Pangolier, a midlane Ember Spirit, and a safelane Templar Assassin. As the team gained an advantage in the laning phase, it made sharp moves to not only find kills but also take objectives. It was a dismal game for Palos as he found no farm on his Battle Fury Phantom Assassin and OB.Neon lost the game in just 26 minutes.

Game 2 saw BOOM Esports again choose Templar Assassin as its last pick, with Yopaj playing it this time. On the other hand, OB.Neon drafted a safelane Kunkka that is becoming increasingly popular in pubs. OB.Neon performed well in the early stages and reached an 8k lead at one point. However, BOOM Esports' teamfighting skills were simply better, with Tims delivering some amazing Shackleshots on his position four Windranger so that they could achieve crucial kills. It appeared rather easy for BOOM Esports to finish off the 36 minute game despite a rocky start.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

BOOM Esports' revamped roster continues to impress and looks like a strong contender for DPC SEA 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1. It won the last two tournaments in the form of BTS Pro Series S9 and Mineski Masters. Although BOOM Esports may have the upper hand when facing some of the other teams in the event, its real challenge will come against the likes of T1 and Fnatic.

OB.Neon also made a drastic roster change before DPC 2021-22, but unlike BOOM Esports, its roster has not yet proven to be as promising. Though they have shown promise in patches, the team has failed to hold its ground and win. Still, it has six more series left and will be looking to turn things around.

OB.Neon’s next series will be against Execration on 8th Dec 2021 while BOOM Esports plays Fnatic on 11th Dec 2021.
