Boom Esports has announced that Motivate.Trust Gaming's Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong will be the stand-in safelaner for the SEA DPC 2021-22 Regional Finals.
JaCkky replaces Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo who has been benched on BOOM Esports.
The team's first series in the SEA DPC Regional Finals will take place against Team SMG on 11th Feb.

BOOM Esports has announced that it has signed Motivate.Trust Gaming's Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong, who will serve as the stand-in safelaner for the Southeast Asia (SEA) DPC 2021-22 Regional Finals. In a post on its social media handles, the organization JaCkky replaces Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo, who has been moved to BOOM Esports' inactive roster. The Regional Finals in the SEA region are set to commence on 11th Feb.

BOOM Esports' roster change follows a recent roster change that was made by T1, who added Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte to its Dota 2 roster, replacing Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon.

JaCkky will stand in for BOOM Esports as Tino gets benched

“@jackkydota will be joining with Boys Out Of Manila as a stand in the Regional Finals of DPC SEA,” BOOM Esports announced on Twitter.

BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 roster for the SEA DPC 2021-22 Regional Finals is as follows:

  1. Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong

  2. Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer

  3. Saieful "Fbz" Ilham

  4. Timothy John "Tims" Randrup

  5. Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong (also known as "ctm")

  • Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung (Coach)

Despite being the team with the best record (6-1) in Tour 1 of the DPC 2021-22: Division 1, BOOM Esports has undergone a significant roster shift going into the Regional Finals. Before the DPC season even started, the team had dominated and won Mineski Masters.

In 2021, Tino was the last recruit to BOOM Esports' Dota 2 roster as part of its protracted rebuilding process in the second half of the year. He joined the team in November 2021, just before the Mineski Masters, and his tenure with the team ended around three months later. In this period, while initially there were reservations about Tino's individual performance due to his lack of a track record, he delivered some quality performances to help BOOM Esports with the top results they received in Tour 1.

After a challenging season with Motivate.Trust Gaming where it struggled to deliver consistently, JaCkky now joins BOOM Esports as a stand-in. Motivate.Trust Gaming was relegated to Division 2 after losing the tiebreakers in a rather unfortunate manner.

While JaCkky will assist BOOM Esports in the Regional Finals, no word has been released on whether he will become a permanent member of the team after the event. JaCkky brings with him a huge amount of potential on the individual front as well as a solid reputation among SEA carry players.

Ahead of the SEA DPC Regional Finals, T1 and BOOM Esports change their position one player. The two other teams taking part in the event - Fnatic and Team SMG - have not yet announced any roster changes so far and they are expected to stick with the same lineups as before. The Regional Finals begin in two days with BOOM Esports taking on Team SMG, and T1 going up against Fnatic in the first round of the upper bracket.
