Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, the offlaner for BetBoom Team, has gone inactive for the upcoming season. BetBoom Team took to X to announce this development. The team cited that Pure would focus on resting and taking care of his health during this hiatus. Pure has been an integral part of the team since his joining and has made up for some notable moments and drama during his time with the team. However, there has been no official announcement from the BetBoom Team about his replacement.

BetBoom Team Announces Pure~ Going Inactive

On 24th December, the BetBoom Team took to X to announce that its offlaner Pure~ is going inactive for the upcoming 2024 season. The organization said, “Vanya Pure~ takes a little break. He'll focus on resting and taking care of his health, and closer to the start of next season, we'll certainly be back with more updates.

With Pure now going inactive, the BetBoom Team currently only has four active members on the roster for 2024. The current roster of the team is:

  • Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko

  • Danil "gpk" Skutin

  • TBD

  • Vitalie "Save-" Melnic

  • Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek

According to its announcement, it is certain that BetBoom Team will not be revealing its new offlaner any time soon. However, with the new season just around the corner, fans can likely expect a name to be dropped after New Year and right on time for the ESL One Birmingham 2024 tournament.

Pure has been a part of the team for over a year and has been a key player of the team. He has been part of some notable moments in the team’s history. Earlier this year, at the Bali Major 2023, Pure was disqualified from the remainder of the event and BetBoom Team played the rest of the tournament with Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok as its stand-in. This decision came as a response to Pure violating the tournament rules.

During a pause in the match against Tundra Esports, Pure was caught watching the Twitch stream of their game. As a result, Chinese Dota 2 team Azure Ray made a formal request to the officials to have Pure disqualified from BetBoom Team.

Following this drama, at The International 2023 (TI12), Pure typed a simple question mark ("?") in the all-chat at the 30:48 minute mark at the end of game 2 after defeating Azure Ray in the group stage.

To this, Chinese Dota 2 legend Wang "Ame" Chunyu speculated that it had to do with the Bali Major 2023 incident.

As Pure goes to the inactive roster of BetBoom Team roster, fans will keep an eye out for a potential replacement. Fans are speculating that 9Pandas offlaner, Matvey "MieRo`" Vasyunin may join BetBoom Team as its new offlaner for the upcoming season.
