The Filipino Dota 2 players competing at the WePlay AniMajor shared their thoughts about the demise of former Cebuano Dota 2 player, Heinrich "Heinrich" Abad. As shown in a video posted by WePlay Esports on Twitter, several players from Execration, T1, and TNC Predator talked about Heinrich and expressed their grief over his death. Players like Don Carlo "BDz" Manalo, Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña, and Marvin "Boomy" Rushton who had interacted with Heinrich in the past took a trip down memory lane, recalling their experiences with him. Heinrich, a retired Dota 2 player widely known for becoming the first Filipino to reach the top of SEA MMR leaderboards, passed away aged 29 on 6 June 2021.
Heinrich was a former Dota 2 professional who had hung his boots back in 2016 to focus on his studies and family. On 12 May, 2021, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and he passed away recently.
