Team Aster and Invictus Gaming’s series in the China 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division culminated with an epic teamfight that spanned nearly three minutes and involved a total of seven buybacks. This happened in game 2 of the series between the two Chinese powerhouses as the penultimate teamfight that had begun at the Roshan pit amusingly ended in the Radiant (Invictus Gaming) base. Invictus Gaming, who had four heroes dead without buyback tapped out of the game after this intense skirmish, losing the series 2-0. This was the first series for both Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming in the China 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division.

Team Aster and Invictus Gaming’s incredible teamfight in the China 2021 DPC Season 2

April 27, 2021, marked the return of Team Aster, Invictus Gaming, PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming in the China 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division as these teams had finally completed their quarantine term after attending the Singapore Major. In the first series between Team Aster and Invictus Gaming only, we witnessed some spectacular Dota 2 action.

The epic teamfight in game 2 initiated at the 39-minute mark as flyfly aimed to take down Roshan on his Troll Warlord. Monet was being a thorn in Invictus Gaming’s side as he was going in and out using Time Walk on Faceless Void. Monet and Aster had stalled enough for Chronosphere to be back up and they decided to fully engage in the teamfight.

The teamfight outside the Roshan pit lasted for nearly a minute as Invictus Gaming was forced to buyback on three heroes while for Aster, only Monet bought back. Invictus Gaming then relented and started retreating but decided to engage after yet another member died and bought back into the teamfight.

With over a minute since the two teams first engaged, we were back to a 5v5 teamfight near the place where the top T1 tower stood for the Radiant side. Though Invictus Gaming killed and forced buybacks from two Aster heroes, they started losing hero by hero as they were falling back to their base. With only Emo alive and all other members dead without buyback, they were forced to GG out of the game at the 42-minute mark.

Xxs was the MVP of the teamfight on his offlane Legion Commander as he saved his allies multiple times with the Aghanim’s Shard upgrade on Press the Attack.
