Week 2 (April 20-26, 2021) of the 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division has drawn to a close, with the top teams in each region reigning supreme. Squads like TNC Predator, beastcoast, Virtus.pro, and Evil Geniuses remain undefeated as they exhibited top-notch Dota 2 action in week 2 of the 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division. On the other hand, while most teams that had risen from the Lower Division struggled in their initial matchups, Winstrike Team in the CIS and Omega Esports in SEA pulled off some decent performances. As the competition is getting tougher and the TI qualification pressure seems to be kicking in, here is a look at where the teams find themselves in the 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division standings after week 2.

Week 2 recap and standings of the 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division

1. Southeast Asia (SEA)

TNC Predator is the only undefeated team in the SEA region after having won all three series. They were able to conquer the Filipino battle against OB.Neon in week 2 to hand the latter their first series loss. After a lean phase at the Singapore Major, Fnatic suffered a disastrous loss in their opening series against Execration. BOOM Esports and Omega Esports, who had been 2-0 in W-L, also lost their first series to TNC Predator and OB.Neon respectively.

2. Europe (EU)

After a disappointing result at the Singapore Major, Alliance has struck back hard to rise to the top of the EU Regional League. They defeated OG and Team Nigma in the second week in very tight encounters and now have a 3-0 W-L record. After losing its first series to Team Nigma in 10 months, Team Secret defeated Tundra Esports and Hellbear Smashers. Europe looks to be the most competitive region after the conclusion of the second week.

3. China

Sparkling Arrow Gaming has been the weakest performer in the Chinese region, having lost all the three series they have played. Royal Never Give Up also pulled off a minor upset by defeating Elephant 2-0 in the second week. Singapore Major attendees - PSG.LGD, Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD and Invictus Gaming are yet to play their first series.

4. Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)

Team Spirit has evidently improved their gameplay over time as they have already defeated top dogs AS Monaco Gambit and Natus Vincere in the second season. Winstrike Team, a team promoted from the Lower Division, put up a solid showing against Spirit but lost its first series. Natus Vincere bounced back after the loss against Team Spirit as they defeated EXTREMUM and AS Monaco Gambit.

5. North America (NA)

Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew and Undying stay undefeated with each one of them having two wins in two series. Game 1 of EternaLEnVy’s Black N Yellow’s series against Quincy Crew was the top match of the week. It showcased an incredible megacreeps comeback by the latter. 4 Zoomers lost their first series after being taken down by the NA giants, Evil Geniuses.
