The Ultimate Comeback by Fata and 33 in the form of mudgolems

The team of mudgolems was assembled just before the inception of BTS Pro Series 3, consisting of some impressive free agents in the European region. In addition to Fata and 33, who have been playing together since 2018, Milan "MiLAN" Kozomara, Duško "BoraNija" Boranijaševic and Oliver "skiter" Lepko were the talented individuals who completed the 5 man roster.

mudgolems run at the BTS Pro Series Season 3 has been spectacular as they cruised their way through the group stages. They did not lose a single series in the group stages which consisted of some strong teams like Viking.gg, 5men and Ninjas in Pyjamas. mudgolems 2-0 each of these 3 teams and scooped 14 out of their 16 matches.

Being the table toppers, they were placed into the upper bracket where they competed against Khan. Khan was one of the two teams who drew a series with mudgolems in the group stages. So, this series was going to determine the better team of the two. First two games turned to be a stomp by either team and the matchup had scores levelled at 1-1. The third game turned out to be a hard-fought contest between the teams but some needlessly risky plays from Khan at the latter stages of the map cost them the series and an upper bracket finals berth.

The upper bracket finals were set to for a cracker of a match between mudgolems and Ninjas In Pyjamas. mudgolems believed in the brothers, Storm Spirit and Void Spirit in the first game and Void Spirit and Queen of Pain in the second game, as ideal heroes for the infest combo with Lifestealer. Ninjas in Pyjamas chose a strong laning support duo in Windranger and Enchantress with Morphling as the carry/mid in both the games. mudgolem’s persistence to pick up the best elusive heroes with their Lifestealer worked wonders as they won the series, securing atleast a top two finish. The cores of mudgolems had an impressive combined Kills-Death ratio of 64-9.

With this, mudgolems are the first team to book a spot in the grand finals of the BTS Pro Series 3: Europe/CIS and are waiting for their opponents from the lower bracket finals where Ninjas in Pyjamas faces Vikin.gg. If mudgolems manages to win the tournament, it will certainly be a big statement of intent for the duo of Fata and 33.
