XTQZZZ and Aleksib Might Reportedly Join G2 Esports' 2022 CS:GO Roster
G2 Esports are making some more moves for the next competitive season.
G2 Esports is ready to make some more moves for the next competitive season. The Spanish esports organization seems to be going for Team Vitality's coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, while also engaging in talks with OG for their IGL (In-Game Leader) Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen.
This comes amidst reports that G2 is trying to acquire the breakout NAVI Junior Academy CS:GO player Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. This transfer speculation caught more traction following Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's recent comment stating that he is looking forward to G2 bringing in a dedicated AWPer next year.
With the supposed arrival of these players to G2 Esports, François "AmaNEk" Delaunay and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković are the ones who will mostly likely be moving out of the team, as reported by 1pv.fr.
XTQZZZ might be the next CS:GO coach for G2 Esports
G2 Esports parted ways with their previous CS:GO coach Damien "maLeK" Marcel just a week after the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. The decision about his departure had been taken a few weeks before the Major itself. Jan "Swani" Müller, who is the data analyst for the side, stepped up as the interim coach till G2 found a suitable replacement.
It might soon be time for Swani to shift back to his original role as G2 seems to be targeting the current Vitality coach XTQZZZ, who is reportedly on his way out of the French organization to make way for Danny "zonic" Sørensen.
XTQZZZ had joined Vitality in December 2018, his three year run with the French lineup is about to come to an end as he joins an international CS:GO roster. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to a new team and utilizes his experience to land them the missing victories.
Apart from getting a new coach, G2 seems to be eyeing a new shot caller as well. They seem to be in discussions with OG to acquire their Finnish IGL, Aleksib, who will most likely be replacing nexa.
G2 Esports has achieved a lot of podium finishes this year but has failed to secure a victory in any top-tier event. The changes are mostly aimed at giving it that extra push so it can convert those grand final appearances into victories.
G2's CS:GO roster for 2022 might look like this if all changes go through as reported,
Nemanja "huNter" Kovač - Rifler
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač - Rifler
Audric "JaCkz" Jug - Rifler
Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov - AWPer
Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen - IGL
Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam - Coach
