One of the most popular faces on Twitch, Felix "xQc" Lengyel, is no stranger to taking risks when it comes to online gambling and splurging on opening loads of cases to test his luck. During his 27th June Twitch stream, the 26-year-old faced a loss of about $6,000 USD (INR 4,74,045) following a high risk CS:GO trade-up that did not go in his favor.
After opening a bunch of cases in CS:GO, xQc had gathered quite a few high-value skins and decided to trade 10 of those in a bid to obtain one of the most expensive skins in the game, 'AWP | Dragon Lore'.
Unfortunately, all he was able to get in return was a $50 cosmetic item, 'SSG 08 | Blood in the Water', which was the second-worst skin a player could obtain from that particular trade-up.
xQc loses thousands in high-risk CS:GO trade-up to obtain the 'Dragon Lore' skin
The Twitch streamer faced quite a loss as he went forward with a high-risk CS:GO trade that required him to put 10 skins on the line in order to swap them for a chance of getting one skin of a higher quality.
Some of the skins that xQc traded included significantly valued skins like the 'M4A1-S | Knight' and 'M4A4 | Poseidon', the former priced at around $2,000 while the latter carrying a price tag of about $1,400.
The 26-year-old thought long and hard if he wanted to go ahead with this trade-up because the returns did not guarantee something of value, also he liked some of the skins that he was trading away like the 'M4A1-S | Knight'.
With only a 10% chance of attaining the coveted 'AWP | Dragon Lore', xQc went forward with the trade-up and it is safe to say that he suffered a devastating loss as he ended up receiving the second-worst skin in exchange, 'SSG 08 | Blood in the Water'.
This might not be the biggest blow for xQc considering the amount of money he has lost gambling on Twitch, but he did make a remark about this being a reflection of his luck, which did feel a bit sad. Maybe RNG-esus will be just a bit kind to him moving forward.
