Woxic Returns to Competitive CS:GO After 5 Months

Though woxic has announced his return to competing in CS:GO once again, the lineup with which he is set to make his comeback remains unknown. A Tweet by Turkish website Gamerbase reports that as per their sources the lineup consists of the following players,

  • Ömer "imoRR" Karataş - Rifler (Entry Fragger) / AWPer

  • Buğra "Calyx" Arkın - Rifler

  • İsmailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş - Rifler (Entry Fragger)

  • Özgür "woxic" Eker - Rifler (Entry Fragger) / AWPer

  • Unknown

Gamerbase further reported that XANTARES who currently plays for the German esports organization BIG is expected to leave the team after IEM Cologne 2021, which is scheduled to take place from 6th-18th July.

Meanwhile, Calyx is currently a free player who was last seen playing for the gorillazzz roster on trial for barely two weeks, and imoRR is a part of Sangal Esports who returned to the active roster a few weeks back after being benched for more than a month.

In a response to HLTV, woxic revealed that some of the players on the secret roster are still under contracts which will soon be coming to an end.

However, these reports do not confirm the above lineup as true. For now, woxic has not officially revealed the complete roster, as he continues to search for an organization to sign them.

Woxic was previously part of Cloud9's Colossus Project which failed to take off as the roster struggled to keep pace with their rivals. He was replaced with Erick "Xeppaa" Bach in January 2021, and ever since the Turkish marksman has been away from the competitive circuit.

He had a bleak 2020, managing an overall HLTV rating of 1.05 along with consistently poor results across tournaments. His last victory in a CS:GO tournament had come more than a year back in February 2020, after winning the ICE Challenge event along with his former team mousesports.
