VINI Excluded From FURIA's Plans for 2022, Talks About His Future in CS:GO
The Brazilian rifler will not be a part of FURIA.
Brazilian esports organization FURIA Esports has started discussing their plans for the next CS:GO season. Their head coach, Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira, came forward on behalf of the organization yesterday on 25th November to reveal that Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo has been excluded from the team's plan for 2022.
This update from FURIA comes amidst reports connecting VINI's arrival to North American organization, Team Liquid, who are also reportedly set to undergo a massive overhaul next year.
In a personal statement released by VINI, the 22-year-old stated that he was "Obviously, saddended by the decision," while also talking about his future in CS:GO as he desires to continue competing in the title.
FURIA Esports has excluded VINI from its CS:GO plans for 2022
FURIA head coach, guerri, while talking about the team's plans for the next competitive season mentioned that they are not counting on VINI going into 2022. The reason behind this decision according to guerri was that FURIA are now looking to add a dedicated AWPer to their CS:GO roster.
In order to make space for the new marksmen, VINI is the one that FURIA has decided to drop from the current team. The talented Brazilian rifler joined the main lineup in February 2018 after being promoted from the FURIA Academy roster. His tenure with the team comes to an end after almost four years.
Commenting on the same, VINI is a personal statement said that,
There are some rumors about my career, so I would like to clarify to everyone who follows me. Furia, through guerri, came to the conclusion that they don't want to count on me for the 2022 season. Obviously, I'm saddened by this decision, but life as a professional athlete goes on like that.Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
Speaking about his future, VINI said that his desire was to continue competing in CS:GO professionally, and since nothing is set in stone at the moment he is certainly evaluating all the proposals at hand.
Despite being only 22-years-old, VINI has clarity about the fact that after he is done competing in CS:GO, "I will continue to work in the esports scene, which I love, and would really want it to be linked to FURIA".
Earlier reports have already linked the player to be moving over to Liquid, but VINI did not mention anything of the sort. It will be interesting to see if VINI moves outside of Brazil and who does FURIA pick to bolster their lineup with the big green.
