Ukrainian CS:GO Legends Markeloff and Edward to Compete in Charity Tournament
Former NAVI players face off to raise money for charity!
Two popular Ukrainian CS:GO players, Yehor "markeloff" Markelov and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, will be competing in a charity tournament with their respective teams later today on 23rd September.
Both of them are former teammates who were once a part of the top Ukrainian esports organization, Natus Vincere (NAVI), across CS 1.6 and CS:GO.
Now, they are facing off against each other in a single best-of-three showmatch to raise funds for the Ukrainian armed forces and the people who were displaced from the country following Russia's invasion which is still underway.
Former NAVI teammates to go against each other in a charity CS:GO showmatch
Two of the top Ukrainian CS:GO players of their time, who represented NAVI in the past, are facing off against each other in a charity tournament featuring a total prize pool of $11,000 USD, the entirety of which will be donated to the Ukrainian Charity Fund.
All those watching the match live will be able to raise more funds by directly donating to the charity during the event. This amount will be used to provide aid to both the Ukrainian armed forced and people who were forced to move due to the ongoing invasion.
Markeloff's CS:GO team consists of a mix which is not necessarily dedicated to the game and consists of the following players:
Yegor "markeloff" Markelov
Stefan "1mpala" Ailazian
Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasylenko
Yevhen Konoplyanka
Oleksandr Zinchenko
On the other hand, Edward's team looks quite solid with a couple of talented players and some famous Ukrainian rap artists. His lineup is as follows:
Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev
Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov
Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko
Slevin "Kyivstoner" Dadyan
Vyacheslav "Lil Morty" Mikhailov
The two teams will compete in a single best-of-three match, the first game taking place on Dust 2, second game on Inferno, and third game on Mirage.
This will be an exciting match as markeloff returns to the server to play in a notable tournament after almost two years, last seen in action at the much celebrated NAVI 2010 vs NAVI 2020 showmatch.
