Team Vitality has parted ways with the French CS:GO veteran shox, who is being linked with a move to Team Liquid.
The 29-year-old had been a part of Vitality since September 2019, his lengthy tenure comes to an end ahead of the 2022 competitive season.
As per reports, Vitality might soon be announcing its third and final departure as they potentially pivot to an international CS:GO lineup.

CS:GO veteran, Richard "shox" Papillon, is on his way out of Team Vitality. The French organization announced his departure yesterday on 22nd December 2021, bringing his two-year run with the team to an end. During his time with Vitality, the 29-year-old rifler helped the team attain victory at EPICENTER 2019, IEM Beijing Online: Europe, BLAST Premier: Fall 2020, BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, and IEM Winter 2021.

Shox has been linked with a potential move to Team Liquid. Earlier reports stated that he was in advanced discussions with the North American organization. With both shox and Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam now out of Vitality, the French organization is on the verge of completing its overhaul for the 2022 competitive season.

Team Vitality within just a day of parting ways with their CS:GO coach XTQZZZ, who is reported to join G2 Esports, has bid farewell to the senior French player shox. Shox could potentially move out of the French region after nine years to compete with Liquid.

Bidding farewell to the French rifler, Vitality stated that he has been an integral part of its success and though their path together comes to an end his name shall remain engraved in the history of Vitality.

In a personal statement, shox went on to thank Vitality and his teammates for the two years they competed together, "We created beautiful memories and I'll keep these with me".

With shox and XTQZZZ on their way out of the team, Vitality might soon be announcing its third and final departure, as per the reports.

Team Vitality's CS:GO team for 2022 may move from a complete French lineup to an international roster, which is essentially a first for the organization when it comes to its roster. The roster will comprise of the former Astralis trio - Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen, Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif, and Danny "⁠zonic⁠" Sørensen.
