Within just a day of elimination from the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, Team Vitality has reportedly already started making moves. It seems the French organization is all set to shake things up and transition to an international CS:GO roster comprising of three Danish members.

Though nothing has been officially posted by any of the teams or players involved so far, a report by 1pv.fr. suggests that the French roster is ready to part ways with three of its players - Richard "shox" Papillon, Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van, and Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, and replacing them with the Astralis trio of Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and Danny "zonic" Sørensen.

Vitality to reportedly replace three French CS:GO players for the Astralis trio

Team Vitality had a stressful run at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. They were on the verge of getting eliminated during the Legends Stage but somehow fought their way bak to qualify into the Playoffs. There they were handed a clean '0-2' defeat by NAVI which resulted in them placing 5th-8th at the Major.

While everyone was talking about Kyojin being a bit of a worrisome factor for the side, this report comes as a startling surprise. With the French side likely preparing to go international with the introduction of the three Danes to the roster, a lot of questions have sprung up.

The biggest doubts looming around are related to the method of communication, adapting to each other's playstyle, and the most concerning one being a change in coaching which directly affects the team's overall methodology.

Astralis had announced the departure of their trio a couple of days back on 4th November, as they acquired the services of Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, and Alexander "ave" Holdt. With dupreeh, Magisk, and zonic being contracted to Astralis till Januray 2022, the change in roster might likely take place at the beginning of the next year.

Zonic had already made it clear that he was not retiring from CS:GO just yet and was still committed, while also informing everyone to stay tuned for what lay ahead for him.

None of the players have responded to this report except for Shox, but as the response is in a GIF format without any context or caption it is left up to the fans to interpret the message sent across by the CS:GO veteran.

  • Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut

  • Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier

  • Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen

  • Emil "Magisk" Reif

  • Danny "zonic" Sørensen [Coach]
