During a recent Twitch livestream, summit1g explained why CS:GO was better than Valorant in all aspects.
He pointed out that according to him, CS:GO had better maps, gun mechanics, and utility usage.
He also commented on the competitive side of things explaining why professional CS:GO players were switching to Valorant.

Popular North American Twitch streamer Jaryd "summit1g" Lazar, during a recent Twitch livestream, gave his two cents on the everlasting debate about which game is better - CS:GO or VALORANT.

The former CS:GO player who used to compete professionally till 2018 and then transitioned to being a fulltime streamer, shared his opinion on the matter by stating that when it comes to the fundamentals Counter-Strike was the better game across all aspects.

"I think the maps are better, I think the shooting style is better, I think the utility use and the unique ways that people come up with using them is better," said summit1g, while adding that the one way smokes are definitely a cheat.

Summit1g thinks that CS:GO is fundamentally better than Valorant in all aspects

Riot Games is probably the only developer to have given Valve such competition in the tactical first-person shooter genre. The fans of both the titles are constantly engaged in a debate over which game is better, comparing different aspects and gameplay mechanics.

While both games have their own strengths and weaknesses, in the eyes of a true gamer only one title shall prevail as the winner. For Twitch streamer summit1g who has played both the games, it is Counter-Strike that takes the cake for being fundamentally better in all regards.

He mentioned how CS:GO had better maps, gun mechanics, and utility usage in comparison to Valorant. However, he was not a big fan of the one way smokes calling them nothing but cheats.

The recent controversial Mirage smoke bug that was used by Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov during the PGL Antwerp Major 2022 brought these one way smokes into the spotlight, inciting one of the quickest responses ever from Valve to fix them.

Summit1g proceeded to comment on the compeitive side of things as well, explaining why the professional CS:GO players in North America were moving over to compete in Valorant.

According to him, the swap has nothing to do with quality of the game, but instead the reason lies in the convenience brought forth by the Valorant competitive scene which involves players not being required to move around a lot or undergo any major changes in their gameplay habits.
