Further CS:GO itself has been nominated for 'Esports Game of the Year'.

Multiple CS:GO players and personalities have been nominated across different categories at The Esports Awards 2022. The list includes Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, Tarik "tarik" Celik, Alexandre "Gaules" Borba, and Mohan "launders" Govindasamy.

The Canadian talent launders has been nominated for the category of 'Esports Content Creator of the Year', while s1mple and tarik have been nominated for 'Esports Personality of the Year' and 'Streamer of the Year' respectively. This leaves out the Brazilian star Gaules, who is nominated for both the categories listed above - Personality and Streamer.

Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev

One of the best CS:GO players in the world, s1mple, a prolific athlete and a star player for the Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere (NAVI), faced a really tough time along with his entire team due to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict.

He redefined himself as someone who is more than just a professional CS:GO player, voicing his opinions through social media, and doing everything possible to contribute to his country's humanitarian efforts.

The speech he delivered at IEM Katowice 2022 touched many hearts across the esports community and could be a factor in his nomination for 'Esports Personality of the Year'.

Tarik "tarik" Celik

In April last year, Evil Geniuses had taken the decision to bench tarik, as he was in limbo with regards to his future in esports and CS:GO. In the meantime, the 26-year-old decided to start streaming and has quickly become one of the biggest streamers from North America especially when it comes to CS:GO and Valorant.

He frequently hosts watch parties of certain tournaments and has earned himself a dedicated audience along with a nomination for 'Streamer of the Year'.

Alexandre "Gaules" Borba

The former Brazilian CS:GO player turned streamer, Gaules, has achieved a lot in the last few months. Not only has he set a new Brazilian viewership record on Twitch, but as a result went on to become the most-watched Twitch streamer in the month of May.

Apart from this, he has been a driving force behind Brazilian esports with his actions across social media platforms, which successfully showcases the potential esports has in Brazil. Due to this he has been nominated across both the categories, 'Streamer of the Year' and 'Esports Personality of the Year'.

Mohan "launders" Govindasamy

The Canadian talent, launders, has done an exceptional job this year, connecting well with the CS:GO community through his casting, online social media banter, and most importantly his content that comes out on his YouTube channel - lau.

He has had the opportunity of casting some of the biggest CS:GO tournaments that took place this year like IEM Katowice 2022, PGL Antwerp Major 2022, BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, and most recently WAL Season 4.

Launders is one of the nine nominees for 'Esports Content Creator of the Year' and is sharing space with HECZ, SunlessKhan, Ashley Kang, ZooMaa, ImperialHal, BananaSlamJamma, Hungrybox, and IWDominate.
