ESL Pro League Season 15: FaZe Clan wins back-to-back CS:GO tournaments

FaZe Clan had a pretty shaky start to the group stage of the ESL Pro League Season 15. They lost both their opening matches to ENCE and Outsiders (Virtus.pro), but slowly they started to claw their way back into the tournament.

They went on to win six out of the seven maps they played next to go '3-2' in the group stage, managing to qualify for the playoffs as they stood third on the points table of 'Group-B'.

Not a great deal was expected of them in the playoffs where FaZe eliminated Players (Gambit Esports) with a '2-1' scoreline in its opening bout, following it up with clean '2-0' victories against Natus Vincere (NAVI) and FURIA Esports to reach the grand final.

The revenge faceoff against ENCE was hyped as they had already managed to beat FaZe Clan in the group stage. But the latter was more than ready to take on the Finnish organization as the two claimed victory on each other's map picks, Vertigo being won by FaZe and ENCE equalizing by claiming Overpass.

This was followed by FaZe shifting gears to lock in the next two maps, Mirage followed by Dust 2, closing the best-of-five series earlier than expected. However, the best thing at the end of the day which everyone was excited about was the fact that the '3-1' victory resulted in Robin "ropz" Kool maintaining his 100% win rate with the team.

He was also the star player for FaZe Clan with an overall HLTV rating of 1.16 which he achieved across 23 maps. Ropz had a KPR (Kills Per Round) of 0.74 along with a DPR (Deaths Per Round) of just 0.57 which helped him register a K/D of +102.

Overall FaZe Clan is looking in great shape and though there are times the team finds it tough getting that initial push, slight setbacks tend to get them more focussed, bringing out the best in them. They are surely one of the top contenders to win the upcoming PGL Major Antwerp 2022 which is scheduled to take place from 9th to 22nd May.
